Thór-Stein leaving for Denmark

This is the future pair: Jóhann Rúnar and Thór-Steinn

Jóhann tried Thór-Steinn last spring, and was very interested in him, and the idea was born that he would take over as his rider! Jóhann has a feeling for a great future with Thór-Steinn, in competition, his correct gaits, big step and speed. Even though he is a 5gaited horse,

he can be ridden both in T1 and V1, and obviously F1

And as a breeding horse, even though he has 9,0 for neck, his 9,0 for proportion, is much more needed here in Denmark.

Thór-Steinn has extremely long legs, with a light rounded body, that is in my view what puts him apart from most Icelandic horses, say´s Jóhann!

We are grateful to both Sunnuhvoll for their good training last winter, and to Siggi Matt, for his professionalism showing Thór-Steinn for us last spring

Thór-Steins score from last spring, not bad without showing pace!

And to finance the project, we decided to take our time and find, a good partner! So in the later stages, thats what was done. We found a strong, good partner Lars Mehl and his wife, , owner of Hnokki frá Felskoti

They will own Thór-Steinn along with Kjartansstaðir

Thór-Steinn is leaving the 18,th of October to his new home at Slippen

with Jóhann Rúnar Skúlason

We think Thór-Steinn is among our best breeding Stallion to date!

Thór-Steinn was used for stud at Kjartansstaðir, last summer, and all of the mares were pregnant, except one, and it was clear there was a problem with her!

His foals are extremely good looking, as their father have a long neck and legs, with high movements

Tákni is the first offspring to be trained after Thór-Steinn, a promising young Stallion

And here below are his young offsprings at Kjartansstaðir

So congrad´s Denmark we are confident that you are getting a very good choose for your mares!
